Rajiv Ramkhalawan is an attorney-at-law and writer from Trinidad and Tobago. He is the winner of the 2020 Cecile de Jongh Literary Prize and a past recipient of a regional award from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. He has also been shortlisted for the Beacon Street Prize and the Perito Prize. His most recent works of short fiction have appeared in Joyland, The Los Angeles Review, The London Magazine, and Litro Magazine. He is currently in the process of completing his first novel. Ramkhalawan was a recipient of a Bocas Emerging Writers Fellowship for 2022, during which he was mentored by author Ingrid Persaud.
