Jannine Horsford is a fellow of the Corsicana Artist and Writer Residency 2024, the inaugural Moko Magazine Poetry Masterclass in 2018, the 2016 Callaloo Writers’ Workshop, and the Cropper Foundation Caribbean Writers’ Workshop in 2014. In 2016, she was shortlisted for the Small Axe Poetry Prize. Her poems have been published in The Caribbean Writer, Caribbean Quarterly, The Manchester Review, Cordite Poetry Review, Moko Magazine, Magma, Arboreal, and others. In December 2020, she was awarded an artist’s grant from CATAPULT: A Caribbean Arts Grant, and in 2021 she was longlisted for the Johnson and Amoy Achong Caribbean Writers’ Prize. Most recently, she was a recipient of a Bocas Emerging Writers Fellowship for 2022, during which she was mentored by author Hannah Lowe.
